Agreed. You can always clock a 575 l/b to 40-43MHz, of course.

Simplest approach might be to get a complete 575 (for a few bucks in 
the States) and carry out the feasibility study and testing of relevant 
s/w. If it works, transfer l/b, cut down a/b and yoke to a CC, with 
added speaker and connections.
