Good on you for making something That's actually a bad idea, because it keeps the dust from flowing through the drive and out into the inside of the case, if I'm understanding what you've done correctly. Letting the dust pack in around the heads will lead to premature failure of the drive, unless the seal you've put around the floppy drive is *completely* airtight (in which case dust won't flow in at all). Apple made this mistake on most of the IIci/IIcx/Q700 machines I've seen, and I don't think I've seen one yet that didn't have a horribly filthy floppy drive.
