My experience is identical, but as List Nanny, I probably ought to say that neither LEM nor the list, nor Dan Knight, nor I, nor the electrons which were used to communicate this or any other list message can be held liable if you fail to follow to the letter the advice of Apple Inc that there are no user-servicable parts inside a Compact Mac, and, consequently, that you should never open one up.
