Googling arround, I have found a company that makes IDE-to-Compact Flash adapters. This means that you can just plug a CF card in that adaptor, and use it as an IDE device - it will appear to the computer as a hard disk with the same size as the CF card. Thus, if we obtain an SCSI-to-IDE adaptor, in theory we would be able to boot *any* Mac (except the 128 and the 512) from a CF card.
You might be on to something... Well done.
This SCSI-to-IDE adaptor would also be a solution to the problem of copying large amounts of data between a Mac and a PC: just format an IDE drive in HFS, copy the data into it using TransMac or HFV Explorer, and plug it to the Mac using the adapter. Simple :-) .
Can anyone provide information on where to get an SCSI-to-IDE adapter?
SCSI TO IDE adapters do exist. What about: http://www.scsi2ide.com/
