Hi!

Googling arround, I have found a company that makes IDE-to-Compact Flash
adapters. This means that you can just plug a CF card in that adaptor, and
use it as an IDE device - it will appear to the computer as a hard disk
with the same size as the CF card. Thus, if we obtain an SCSI-to-IDE
adaptor, in theory we would be able to boot *any* Mac (except the 128 and
the 512) from a CF card.

This SCSI-to-IDE adaptor would also be a solution to the problem of copying
large amounts of data between a Mac and a PC: just format an IDE drive in
HFS, copy the data into it using TransMac or HFV Explorer, and plug it to
the Mac using the adapter. Simple :-) .

Can anyone provide information on where to get an SCSI-to-IDE adapter?

If anyone is interested, the manufacturer of the IDE-to-CF adapter is
called Sunrise, and its web is http://www.msx.ch/ . The price of the
adapter is 28.50 Euros + S&H. No, I'm not related with Sunrise in any way
(they are from the Netherlands, and I'm from Spain). And yes, they
developed that little toy for the MSX computer ;-) .
