What is stored in the PRAM ? Anything like a PC bios ?-------- Settings like time/date, certain preferences such as mouse scroll speed, some network (I think) settings.
The PC bios is more like the Mac ROM that carries the essential routines to access parts of the circuit board, drives, etc.
And the PC part analogous to PRAM is usually called the CMOS settings. I think because the settings were stored in low power CMOS memory and battery powered.
