This is somewhat related. I have a IIci with an intermittant power supply problem. I don't use the IIci much (as I have a LCIII and Quadra 605 that I would rather use but don't either) so I am thinking of transplanting the 8 4mb SIMMs from it into my SE/30. Is there any reason why this may not work? I know the SE/30 is rated up to 128mb of RAM. The other question is, why would I need more than the 8mb of RAM that is in there now? What applications do you professional SE/30 people use that could need more than 8mb of RAM?
