Just thought I'd update everyone on how my Asante NIC and SE/30 situation worked out. In short, it didn't.
After some back and forth with Asante's technical support, it was determined that I'd need a replacement. I sent in the NIC and received a replacement a couple weeks later.
I installed the card into the SE/30, reinstalled the OS and had the same problems (no network activity). I tested the crossover cable and found that it works. Since the only constant seems to be the SE/30 itself I zapped the PRAM in desperation and still have the same problem.
So, at this point, I'm at a loss. The SE/30 sits unused with the replacement NIC sitting in its box.
I appreciate everyone's input in helping me out with this. I'm sorry it didn't work out.
