Greetings, all.

An old MicroNet external SCSI drive has recently come into my possession
that I want to use for my SE. I'm having trouble mounting/formatting it for
use.
It seems that it had originally been a Macintosh formatted drive, but was
re-formatted as a DOS drive.

Surprising to me, I found that MicroNet still had mounting/formatting
software
available for download so I could get the drive to be recognized by the SE.

When I run the MicroNet software it seems to find the external SCSI drive
on every open SCSI-ID including the one I've set the drive to. If I select
the
SCSI-ID I've physically set on the drive to install the controller software
and
format the drive it hangs. Forcing me to quit the application. Once
I do that, the Finder "Initialize disk" comes up, but hangs also forcing me
to
quit that as well.

I've tried using Mount Everything and a software SCSI probe to try and
figure
out why the drive won't mount/format to no avail. Mount Everything and the
probe also show the external SCSI drive on every available SCSI-ID including
the one it's physically set to. I've also tried the same sets of software
on
my SE/30 and a 6100/60 with the same results.

I think I have the drive properly terminated with what I believe to be a
pass-through Centronics/SCSI-1 50-pin M/F connector
(Note: this connector is NOT a cable), but I'm not sure it's a SCSI
terminator.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!
