I'm intrigued by the 'Dec 1983' date given by the second of the above sites. It can't be right, surely?
I don't know about the above referenced ads, but my understanding is that the famous 1984 Super Bowl Mac ad actually ran in 1983 in some obscure market on late night television, so that it would eligible for some kind of award competition for that year. Perhaps this is a similar deal. If nothing else, it proves that the marketing material for the Macintosh (at least the TV commercial) was ready in 1983.
