What makes the Micron Xceed card attractive is it's ability to display 256k gray scale on the existing interior monitor. External color cards for the SE30 are not that rare. I have, and have run across, several different models. The one I have is probably the most common next to the Radius cards, a Lapis SE30 Server color card that will display on an external Mac or VGA color monitor. I picked it up for $30 on ebay a year ago. It came new in box with software and manuals. The SE30, even without a color card of any brand, can print in color as it has QuickTime programmed into the rom. I hope your friend does get top dollar for his card. But don't get his hopes up too high. The only ones I see going for high dollar amounts, are the ones that allow internal grayscale display.

How many Compact Mac owners have a Radius Pivot card lying around? A show of hands, please..... > On one point he is definitely wrong; there is no way a card made for the > SE/30 would work in an SE; the expansion slots are different. There are no distinguishing marks on the card. Opening an SE of mine, I discovered the slot in side it is a different length. I'll retract that statement in the auction. > A lot of hardware for the compact Macs is not described on the internet, > since it is all older than the world wide web. So far, I've been only unable to find anything about Dove, and this Memory Plus video card. Bear in mind, I believe the card will work with any non-multisync monitor with a DB 15 connector up to, say, 21 inches? > Such a device would not be worth more than $10 or $15 to me. All well and good. I stand by my original postulation in that regard. I'm selling it for a medically challenged friend. They deserve top dollar. Considering that, where color is present on the hard disk, an SE/30 can produce a quick, non-lagging non-system-slowing color image at 256 colors using this card and a standard DB15 monitor, I'll keep calling it an excellent alternative to the No-Longer-Available Micron Exceed.
