It sounds like the hard disk is working correctly - if it weren't, the happy Mac
wouldn't show. The later blinking disk is probably a sign of a damaged system
folder. If you can get the thing to boot from a floppy, perhaps you can repair
it.

400 Kb disks are simply one-sided 800 Kb disks. If you don't have a boot disk
for your 128, I think you can get a image to create one from Gamba's site
(http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/). Take into account that you will need an
800 Kb capable drive to do it (i.e., the later USB drives won't do the job since
they only can read/write 1.44 MB diskettes). If you want to create your own boot
disk from scratch, keep in mind that the latest System version that will run on
a 128 is System 3.3.
