I'd do a clean install System 6.0.7 with inly the items you need. I love the speedy that those old Macs can be with the right system installed :-) . Anyway, with the propper extensions, System 6 can do almost the same things as System 7.0 or 7.1 (including file sharing!). I'm almost sure you can get System 6 on 800 Kb disk images on Gamba's site (http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/).
