...like the "early symptoms" on the left. It doesn't bong, there are vertical stripy patterns like the ones in the picture, and it doesn't start up.
While you're no doubt entitled to have the seller sort it out, the $64,000 question for you is whether it might be easier for you at least to check if it's a problem with badly seated RAM or ROM - which could have happened in transit. IMHO, it'd be worth looking inside and reseating RAM and ROM before all the hassle of returning it. Of course, if that doesn't solve it, you've no alternative.
