I had the same weakening sound volume problem, and was unable to resolve it
by cleaning the mb with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab (well, actually,
about a dozen double-ended cotton swabs). I'm still not sure what the cause
is, but I don't have either of the other problems you mention, so it's
probably unrelated. I am still able to use my SE/30, but it's gone mute. =(
