as for the emulator, I would actually be running it on my clamshell iBook, so i could work on "hypercard/Squeak" while in the library or at work, in theory.

Agreed, I've only used it on 040 macs, ppc's and intel compatibles.
To the few that run any of these systems I'd consider it worth a look for the fun of it if nothing else.
I have Squeak 2.1.sea at 2mb and later files at 3mb or less.
We covered this subject on this list (I think) a few months ago.
It would be nice if a real SE30 could run it, it was acceptable using a quadra at 25mhz as was Exodus.
Hypercard is a very interesting program. A deep search may still yield something.
