Which ROM did you install? When I used a IIsi ROM the machine paused for a minute or so, with the screen showing a bit of "hash" but then it proceeded to boot fine, at least after I remembered to remove the Mode 32 extension.

I have a IIsi ROM - I thought the problem might be having more memory than a IIsi can handle, but downgrading the RAM doesn't help. Also, I've sat for a while and waited for the computer to start without any joy... maybe I just need to wait longer (80MB does take a long time to check on startup!). However, I still have Mode32 installed and although it was disabled, it may be worth uninstalling it and trying again...
