Hey all. Got another obscure hardware question. What exactly is an IDEAssociates SE-5251 expansion card? There was one in an SE I recently acquired. Various Google searches turned up nothing, aside from a reference on a 68k Mac "part sale" page referring to this card as a "SE-5251 Terminal Emulation" card. It has an external DB-9 port on the back of it. This one reference leads me to believe it has something to do with emulation. But what does it emulate? And what sort of external device do you connect to the DB-9 port?
Also, on the topic of old SE expansion cards, how useful is the Asante Mac Con Rev. C2 for IIsi's and SE/30's? I've got a bunch of them. From the looks of them, it appears they could still be useful in Ethernet networking with newer machines.
