Sweet, I will try it. I installed 1.1.1 and configured an IP block in my range on the home network but could not ping the SE/30 from my iBook. Am I missing anything?

I agree on that last bit, and stick to 7.1 if the machine supports
it (and 6.0.8 for things like the SE and Plus).

As for MacTCP: I'm fairly certain that I've run 2.0.6 under System
6.0.8 without running into any problems.
