Been away from this list for a long while (dabbling with Quadras and Mac IIci's).
But I just realised that I have the parts needed for a "something special" SE/30.
I have a Mac IIci in which I am using a great working DayStar 40MHz 68040 accelerator.
I have an Asante NIC for SE/30 or IIsi.
I have an SE/30 in good repair.
I don't have an adapter :-(
Outside the box (i.e. not worrying about physically fitting together) the DayStar fits directly into the Asante PDS slot. Only problem is it's at 90 degrees.
Am I right in assuming that the ONLY thing the required DayStar SE/30 Adapter did was provide a straight through connection, to get over the physical constraints? Or was there "active" devices on the adapter?
I've never seen one. Anybody got a picture on the web?
John
