Meanwhile, why don't you grab a Mac IIci and use it in there? At least 
you would know it works. I have one and it works really well. Running 
7.1 + open transport, but it will run 7.6.1.

As it works so well in my IIci, I doubt I would spend huge $ to 
transfer it to my SE/30 (much as I love the idea).
