Meanwhile, why don't you grab a Mac IIci and use it in there? At least you would know it works. I have one and it works really well. Running 7.1 + open transport, but it will run 7.6.1.
As it works so well in my IIci, I doubt I would spend huge $ to transfer it to my SE/30 (much as I love the idea).
I have (3) IIcis and all have the PowerPC 601/120 upgrade cards in them. My Turbo 040 Currently resides in my Performa 600CD running 7.6.1. But if I can find the adapter (for under six figures), out it comes and into the SE/30. That combo is just too cool to me.
