to the serial port of your unix machine. Or if you've already got networking working on the mac, an ssh or telnet client.
Sorry, I meant to add a link to a list of SSH resources for macs at http://www.openssh.com/macos.html . I haven't actually tried any of these yet - still trying to source a serial cable for my colour classic. But I'd be very interested to hear stories from anybody who has used ssh on a classic. :-)
