to answer your question, I encourage you to provide us your home
address, social security number, and to change the password to your
home wireless network to 'public'.

after you have done the above, somone will tell you that it depends on
the router, service provided, and technical saavy of the tech person
for the coffee house, etc.  If the service is intended to be free,
there's probably no password.  If it's intended to be paid for, I
encourage you to go somewhere that has it for free.
There are many sites on the web that provide listings of free wireless
access in all areas - google is your friend.
