I'm doing a redesign of HouseBot and rewriting it in D instead of C++.
Since there was past interest in the D language on this list, I figured I'd advertise the switch-over. I'm not at the code writing stage yet because I'm trying to do a proper (re)design.
If the move to D is enough to attract any developers, there's two options for helping out... 1. Get in on the ground floor, participating in the design discussions and (ugh) documentation of the design. 2. Wait for the initial redesign to finish and jump in when D is actively getting used. If this option is desired, I can send another e-mail to the computer-go mailing list when I reach that stage... It'll probably be a few weeks.
I'm trying to start up an Agile development cycle, but it won't be all that agile since I only average a few hours a week doing HouseBot development. I also can honestly say that I've never done an Agile development cycle before and am using a book that I'm reading as my inspiration to try it out.
If this e-mail has attracted others as masochistic as me, you can either e-mail me directly with initial questions, or join the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list.
