  I also feel that way, but because of this, I really prefer tournaments
with as many rounds as possible, since that greatly eliminates any bias;
in that case, I much prefer Swiss-style to get a chance to play with
strong opponent several times instead of repeatedly tackling with
Idiotbot.

  It appears to me that many authors do leave their programs unattended
for part of the tournament anyway, so I wonder if there would be that
much opposition to e.g. making the 30min/side tournaments 12-round? But
of course, that also puts quite a demand on Nick. :-(
