Ofcourse some programs may not be able to detect those errors.Y dont you try
a third party programs for detecting those errors. I  think you might have
bad clusters on hdd. better get some third party scanners and diagnose tat.
some of the scanners were :
1. Norton disk doctor
2. smart checkers
