As far as i know you will be deleting all the info or id3 tags relating to each track ITunes uses a 4 digit code to name each track on your ipod and this file contains the data that relates to each corresponding 4 digit code like song name artist name track number etc. So if you delete this then you loose all the data but the files remain in tact on the IPod Regards Nitros7
