Nothing. I have used (with no problem) Pod to PC. There is also a Mac version. It will copy all files from the ipod to your machine and then you open itunes, add folder where you saved it and presto - change-o all the songs are there. ID tags (usually) are saved into the mp3, so album covers, track info, etc... are still there.
