I've been using the 64 bit vista ultimate for over a year and a half... Driver corruption very possible, even when you KNOW.... Some website items will install the wrong version... so great care is needed for 64bit.
I have NOT seen an advantage in speed, even with the quad core.. I would install the 32 bit right now... I would love to hear about others results, especially with programs optimized for 64 bit operations... Will there be any 64 bit optimized software on the horizon? I can not speak about adobe photo shop, never used it, but that would be one program that may benefit in 64bit .. I Ran the 64 bit version of windows 7 for a short time.. and noticed it was much faster than vista, but I have to say that windows XP Pro really out performed all of them on my machine. (32 bit) I would append the question, ... will 64 bit take off for future applications? Is it the FUTURE?
