Okay, I've Googled this problem and found multiple answers, but none
that will work. Here's the deal. Run command is missing off the start
menu. Simple you say, just go to the start menu and task bar
properties and check or uncheck the feature for showing run on the
start menu. Simple, but that is also missing under both views XP or
Classic. Next trick is to do a Ctrl/alt/del and bring up task manager,
click on file and in the drop down click on "new task (run)" and in
this box type %windir%\system32\cmd.exe (or alternately I found
instead of cmd.exe you can also type gpedit.msc) and then if in the
command prompt you can bring up regedit and hit the F3 key and search
for norun and change the registry value or locate the no run command
on start menu policy in gpedit and change it to not configured. I have
fixed this problem before with both of these methods. But back up a
little, this time I could not even do that because when I clicked on
File on the task manager, I did not get the option of "new task (run)"
All I get is "exit task manager" so now what do I do. The above is all
different ways I have fixed this problem of no run command on the
start menu in the past and none of them are available to use now. Any
new ideas how I can fix this?
