Well, that is another thing to consider...maybe, but worth
checking out. The disks have not been mirrored yet. They are all from
the MSDNAA ELMs sight which is basically a Microsoft/Education
partnership to supply free software for educational puposes. Each disk
was obtained from this site. They are still the original disks from
about 5 years ago. It would seem wierd that 8 out of 13 would all go
bad this one semester, but anything is possible, so I'll see if I can
rule that out.
However, Anvesh does have a good idea, because I tried the
registry on 7 of the 8 machines. The 8th machine I was not able to get
to the registry because not only could I not get to the run command, I
also could not get the "new task (run)" option to come up on Task
Manager. So now if I may be able to try that solution and see what
happens also.
Thanks guys, I knew you could come up with some more
ideas...Think Tanks are a good thing. I'll let you know what happens,
the next class is Thursday evening, so you'll probably hear from me on
Friday, or Monday.
C ya......Red.
