Yeah I would say coalwater's concern is the most likely to cause
problems in the long term.

Although often a rookie mistake, I've seen it done a few times before
(you'd be surprised). NEVER delete your files by going into the
program files and deleting files there manually.

Always use the add/remove programs utility (or equivalent depending on
your OS). This is the way that programs were designed to be
uninstalled.

Also the registry may cause problems as well, but I wouldn't recommend
anyone going into the registry unless they really know what they're
doing. Still, I second both coalwater and Ceresia's ideas.
