Did you contact their customer service and complain and ask for a
reduced rate?
I mean if the guy wasn't efficient and wasted time, you shouldn't be
charged for rounding up to 2 hours.
Tech Support is always dicey and can result in frustration and causing
more problems than you initially have.
Years ago, I contacted Microsoft and this lady had me on the phone for
an hour, telling me to change various settings and applications, and
after it was clear that she didn't have a clue, and she ran out of
ideas, she simply hung up on me. I wasn't arguing or anything either,
but she was clearly incompetent and simply just bailed.
You always have to be careful who you turn to for help.
I noticed that the online company you used charges between $50-$100 an
hour depending on whether it's network related or not.
I believe Microsoft charges $35 an hour for online support.
Take care, and better luck in the future.
