Well hari, I took your advice(thanks, by the way) but I was able to find an even better card than you recommended. It's an ATI card with 512MB and.....it has an HDMI port! But here's my new problem.
I can use an HDMI to DVI cable(hooking up the HDMI port on the card to the DVI port on the monitor). But I don't know if it will carry audio as well being that the port on the monitor is DVI. Will it? If not, what if I got a DVI to HDMI adaptor and plugged that into the DVI port on the monitor thus making it a HDMI port and then use an HDMI to HDMI cable? Would that work? If I do use the adaptor, will the picture suffer any degradation? I just want to make sure that the video doesn't suffer and I get the audio from the card by using that HDMI port. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jay -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Computer Tech Support" group.
