Component for component however, their parts as parts are no more reliable then other vendors, and I don't mean the 300 dollar vendor.
I decided to go back to your original "new thread" post. Let me summarize: Q: Has Apple hardware traditionally been significantly different than other PC hardware? A: Yes. Traditionally there wasn't much at all you could take out of an Intel-based, Windows compatible computer and put in a Mac - not without some trouble, different hardware adapters, etc. Q: Is Apple hardware now closer to other PC hardware, if we are talking about Intel-based Macs? A: Yes. Q: Is Apple hardware high quality? A: Yes. Q: Is Apple hardware still the best designed hardware out there for PCs? A: Yes, at least among the largest vendors. There is some very interesting design out there from small companies. Q: Are there other Intel-based PCs that are high quality besides Apple? A: Yes. In fact, for muchos dolares, you can get very high quality PCs with very high quality parts.
