So why didn't the two of you go "halves" on the 10 pack and split them up?

The other day as I was perusing the display of DVD-RWs in the computer
store, another customer was doing the same. We both lamented the fact
that there was not a 2-pack or even a 3-pack available, and were both in
agreement that no one would ever need a 10 pack, which was the smallest
quantity available.
