That is nor a problem with the PDF or Acrobat. That is a problem with
your mail reader not interfacing correctly with display software. This is
usually programmed as a plug-in. You may be missing a plug-in or have a
out of date plug-in, or your mail reader may not handle plug-ins
correctly.
Why is it that I can receive an email with 2 PDFs that behave
differently? One will be OK and the other displays as a BIG text file.
Is this the PDF or the email client?
I suspect that the header on the "text" PDF is nonstandard, rather than
having a defective mail program, otherwise all PDFs would behave the
same. Next time I have PDF that displays as text, I'll save it and see
if I can compare the header with one that behaves better.
