Another source for odd batteries is http://www.batteriesplus.com. They

A good tip. I "discovered" them after failing to locate that battery anywhere else in the area. I went there this morning and obtained the battery I needed. It turns out that the fellow who runs that store used to be a Macintosh specialist/technician. I told him that the Apple Store was of no help in obtaining that battery, which caused him to wonder why just as I did since so many Mac machines over the years required that particular battery, and they getting harder to find. Of course, the person at the Apple Store said they carry no batteries at all for any of the desktop computers, including the new ones. I guess an $8.99 sale just ain't worth their time.
