I have not seen this on my home PC although I might say that this
morning, FF notified me about an "important update". That fix might be
a remedy for your problem. From time to time, in the past, when FF
started acting strangely, I have started in the "choose profile" mode
and created a new profile. After running that profile for a while to
confirm that everything is running properly, I would migrate the old
settings and delete the miscreant profile. Note, I have NOT needed to
do this since FF went to 2.x

YMMV

Subject: Firefox Freezes

What has happened to Mozilla Firefox? I run it on several machines
including a Linux box and on every one
(running the latest version with no add-ons) the browser freezes when I
click on bookmarks. It takes a good part of a minute for the bookmarks
to present themselves. This has been happening for weeks if not
months. I cannot be the only one this happens to. Yet I have not seen
this mentioned on this list. I KNOW you guys are not using Internet
Explorer, right?
