There's a difference between a lockdown and guidance. When you're around to provide encouragement and rewards for doing homework and not getting distracted by inappropriate sites, that's learning, not policing. There are commercial programs that schools use to block sites. They don't work in high schools. Students learn [they're learning something!] how to circumvent the software. If your kid doesn't figure out how to do this, friends will show how or do it for him. Instead of relying on the airport directly, can you put a router between the airport and broadband connection? Routers are cheap. A Linksys router might do what you want initially, but, of course, there are ways to get around the controls. Be glad that the problem isn't IM. AIM searches for alternate ports if you close the port it uses. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
