> There goes Jeff again with his misconfigured Macs. Got to feel sorry > for his poor Mac users. Entourage *with patches applied* works fine.
There goes Tom again, shooting off his uninformed mouth. It's v. 2004 and *all* of the patches have been applied, including the Exchange patch. And, as usual, you've missed the main point like the broad side of the barn: Entourage doesn't have a true archiving feature like 2001 did. > There is no good reason to be running the old Mac Outlook. Entourage has many > more features than Mac Outlook so is much more desirable. > Running Classic severely degrades the Macs operation. Having Classic on > all the time to support an old email program is a big mistake. You're preaching to the choir; I've told them this much many times over as has the Mac consultant I use. Talk to your fellow travelers. They're the ones who think they know what they're doing and insist on doing this. Isn't that what a good IT manager is supposed to do in your book? Whatever the staff wants them to do? > We hope MS fixes their terrible email file design in the next version > because what they are doing will perform very poorly with TimeMachine. > If not, better to run Apple's Mail with your Exchange server. Terrific! Another $$$$ hoop-jumping solution again for < a dozen people. Or gosh, use PCs like the other 95% of the .org. They don't have this problem; their email works great. Naaaaah. That's crazy talk from the big, bad IT manager. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
