>It doesn't matter whether Windows has 51% or 92% of the traffic. >Standards are for the rest of us who choose not to use Windows for many >reasons, not just for Windows users...
On Friday night's BBC World the news reader said Apple had a 40% share of the US computer market. (Yes, I rewound my DVR and listened to it a second time.) Where did that come from? Today, catching up on some Future Tense podcasts I found out that at major US universities the Mac share is around 40%. No that was not an error, but the topic of the entire program. >I did Director videos long before WMV was a belch in Bill Gates' throat. >No. Professionals who do video advertising for TV and who create >theatrical movies do not use WMV. They'd be laughed out of the studio >for suggesting it, unless they work at MSN They might get laughed at even at MS. A few years ago I had an employee who used to work at a printing plant near Redmond who did a lot of business with you-know-who. He knew first-hand that all the files he was getting were created on Macs. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
