could leave it hooked to your Stereo system while downloading to your
computer.  For some others Google up a search for- RCA USB audio
interface.

I have heard that the USB based interfaces work better than a direct
connection to your sound card.  I suspect that the box digitizes the
signal on the fly while the sound card uses the CPU.
