If the car stereo takes a standard head phone jack then any cable will do.

You may have to look for a second gen nano.  Some stores probably
still have them but I think the Apple store is pretty much all 3rd
gen.

As for accessories you can find things all over.   The Apple Store is
a good place to look.  They have a bunch of things in Five Below which
vary widely in quality but there is a good variety.  MicroCentre has
lots of accessories as well. I have an alarm clock with an iPod
dock/Clock Radio I got at Bed Bath and Beyond which is very nice.
Borders has a Sony Dock/Clock Radio for $99.99.  Lots of stuff at the
Sharper Image.  I got a really nice hard case at The Container Store
for $5 for my wife's Nano.
