It is the Battery backup. Either your Batttery backup is not large
enough for your system (APC likes to have at least a 5 minute
threshold) or your batteries are old and are not holding a change long enough.
Plus check your buttons on your backup. Sometimes it gets switched
and does not switch back when the power comes back on.

My desktop computer recently began displaying a message that my
battery power is weak and advises to switch to AC power. I am
connected to AC power. The message comes from Windows XP, I think.
What causes the message?
I am connected to AC power thru a battery backup that comes on when
AC power is interrupted. Could this be the problem?
