Not exactly on topic, but are any of CSPAN's podcasts the same as what you're recording? http://www.c-span.org/podcast/

Can you set timers with the on-screen guide? I 'autotune' any station and program I want to view that way. We have DirecTV. Do other services have those settings?

Betty

I recently upgraded my standard receiver to a DVR. I use this one to feed
my tv card on my computer and I was recording audio from cspan for example
to mp3 for later listening on my ipod. With a regular receiver I could set
the unit to change to a station at a certain time, with the dvr I can of
course set it to record to hard drive at a certain time, but I need it to
actually change the station for the audio feed to pick up. The only way
I've found to do this is to set two stations to record to occupy both tuners
as to force one to change to the station I want. Anyone know how to just
get the tuner you are actually watching to change?
