I connected the RCA-to-Stereo patch cable. The Line Input is active.
While I have that active, the tape deck is still not recognized. I
double-checked the positioning of the patch cable on, both, my sound
card and, the tape deck. I didn't find any problem with the positioning.
OK, one step at a time. When you play a tape do the meters indicate
signal, and when you plug in headphones to the "PHONES" front panel
output on the deck can you hear the sound?
I'm saying, systematically, let's get the deck first, then the connection
to the 2ZS (is that a laptop card?) then the software.
