This article seems to be written for my computer. I've got 4 of the
listed qualifications for this problem; Compaq computer, AMD processor,
Asus motherboard and a stop error starting with 0x0000007E
(0xc0000005.... It's good to see that MS has taken the high road on this
problem and thrown the blame squarely on Compaq. (It's interesting to
note that MS has yet to respond to my product support request sent
earlier this week). Thanks for the tip and I'll try it tonight and
report back. If you don't hear from me, it means that things didn't go
as planned and I'm out looking for a new computer ;-)
