Not sure what the kidding part is about?
I think Tom is trying to indicate that if Microsoft can't deliver a
reliable "mainstream" OS technology in Vista that bloviating about
a supposedly enhanced and superior next generation release of a
nonexistent OS is premature.
I'm not alone in saying that Vista has not exactly reinforced my
all ready limited faith in Microsoft.
I'm sure they make some OK products. I'm fine with XP Pro and
I have to use Office. Their pointing devices are good.
But my bottom line is that the only reason I run XP is because games
are written for it, and it's what my work uses. I will never say I like
it ergonomically and I will never buy into a hype for a nonexistent
product that totally overlooks the fact that this huge overcapitalized
company couldn't manage to deliver an incremental upgrade (Vista)
that even begins to be acceptable.
OK, well I guess I said that, I feel better now.
